It must be a proud moment for the PAP establishment when lying, bribe-accepting, rapist policemen are considered "credible witnesses" by our esteemed courts in trials presided over by judges who are completely clueless about procedural fairness and their legal obligation to its enforcement in trials.

It is no doubt rooted in the PAP's belief that trust - because everyone in their payroll is selected on the basis of an elusive quality called "good character - should be the substitute for a check and balance system.

With this culture, so steeped as it is in infantilism, having taken root, what better way for the PAP to continue to wallow in the mediocrity that is becoming increasingly known for for the lack of accountability that such a culture encourages?
