Nothing good comes out from a dog's mouth.

I think the SDP is doing really well. I would support the SDP if they are at my GRC. I believe with such a conviction, they would run the country well. CSC and family are smart people, at least much smarter than the present PM. I do not think they will be doing badly in the job. Honestly, I do not prefer a Singapore that seems to be doing well economically, and zero in everything else. A+ in mathematics and failed the rest. I would rather an average B Singapore for everything. In a sense, I would trade off all materialistic things for a simple freedom of speech and equality of opportunities. Get rid of the foreigners and return Singapore to
the Singaporeans. Then, I will return to Singapore.

Disappointed Citizen  -  Go SDP, Go Democracy For Singapore    Sat, 30 Aug 2008 3:56 pm
Dear SDP,

Go...Go SDP, Go Democracy For the poor citizens of Singapore.

The Secretary General of SDP is a brave individual who stands up to speak on the behalf on the tamed Singaporeans.

The political system of the present party, PAP has disallowed humanity, free speech, all the human rights of a human on this planet; don't mention to look after the benefits of its' citizens.

Dr Chee, to my personal opinion, should be supported by fellow Singaporeans to be a Member of Parliment (MP) and even promoted to "Minister of Democracy", if there is such a position in the cabinet.

Go SDP, Go Democracy for the Republic of SinPAPore....

You have my supports till I live.

Best Wishes

Dear SDP,

I greatly support your party's ideology. I do think Singapore needs alot more idealism than it has now. No matter the efforts of the WP or SDA, they tend to get tied down in parochial details, and end up missing on the big picture.

However, as much as I endorse your party's ideology, I do not think that NVA should be your only means of getting your message across. There is no reason why one should discard it, but putting it as your party's sole platform paints you in exactly the light the PAP wants - desperate for votes, clamouring to get any kind of attention possible. This is not only a bane to your party - as in votes during elections - but also a bane to the rest of the opposition movement here, as the WP and SDA seriously need some 'big picture' vision. What Singapore needs, I feel, is a united opposition front, instead of several divided parties.

My two cents only, of course. Anyway, if you are not afraid to hear an alternative opinion, please call me.

Rgds,
Arix

P.S.: I am interested in joining your party, just not exactly sure if we are ready for each other.

iceberg  -  REFORMATION    Sun, 05 Oct 2008 7:04 am
Reinstate the Democracy System and to have two-party system emerging to balance the Singapore politics. To forge a united opposition front to challenge the might of the monolithic PAP. If Pakatan Rakyat consist of PAS, PKR, DAP in Malaysia can control almost half of the malaysian Parliament overnight so can the Opposition consist of SDA, SDP, WP. Singaporean should voices out their opinions against government policy that will affect our lives like the rising utilities, transportation and etc. I hope the SDA will gain more seat in the singapore parliament in years to come. This party mission, vision and goals is part of the reformation process in singapore politics. We just need a reliable and talented leader to lead us in the REFORMATION. Now is up to the singaporean to decide their future... The age of Reformation has come ''qoute by Anwar Ibrahim''.

It is important for people to have their own "voice" or they would be like objects, not knowing how to speak or express themselves.

I have a better understanding of politics this year. I have been watching the news in my local area in New Zealand and sometimes on TV watching BBC World News.

This year America has a change of Government, New Zealand also has a change of Government.

America: From George Bush to Barack Obama

New Zealand: Labour Party to National Party

First of all you sheepish little ignorant, distasteful brat. You have been too spoiled by your parents to know what struggle is. You are the one brainwashed into a society that has no intellect to understand that the obliterating, totalitarian force that is programming your life cares not for you, but for the security of your money in your pocket.

Awesome Words

We must beware of trying to build a society in which nobody counts for anything except a politician or an official, a society where enterprise gains no reward and thrift no privileges.
